Dealing with troubling emotions at school

To learn a skill thats invaluable such as being able to control your emotions is so important in todays culture. With many children suffering with ADHD and lacking the ability to concentrate, things can start to feel “chaotic”. We must be able to control our emotions and not let them overtake us when we are in the moment. The truth is, if we can learn life skills that teach us how to handle our emotions in a mature way we could potentially improve our happiness, relationships, and overall well being.

Learning skills such as breathing, tapping certain points on the body, being mindful, and keeping our “relational circuits” on will help us in our emotional growth.

Its no doubt that anxiety is troubling especially in schools. Our children must learn these skills as we learn them first. This will better prepare them in their life with fellow students and friends they meet in their life. Social anxiety starts when a child feels “insecure about himself”. Often met with feelings of inferiority. A child may feel “less than” or “left out” further increasing the anxiety. Being with these children will help them develop emotionally as they go through life. Emotions of fear, anxiety, worry, nervousness are on the rise in our society today. We must be the ones who tackles these issues and helps our children. Lets help them now before they grow up and develop negative thoughts and habits that are more difficult to break.
